So... we somehow managed to fend off the onslaught of robotic ferrets, but we're not entirely in the clear yet.
Here's an update on what's happening with the game:
We're still beta testing, and it's SO close to being done. We're currently working on letting you set up Insaniquarium as a screensaver and other finishing touches. A final release date should be decided upon soon, so don't touch that dial!

What can I say, except I've learned a few things from working on this project:
1.The last part of a game project takes much, much longer than you think.
2.Working a full-time job, then spending your nights and weekends working on a game is pretty tough. Do this for almost an entire year and I can guarantee you'll go crazy.
3.Speaking of crazy, I like muffins. Do you?

5.Hey, who stole my ranch dressing? The dingobabies! I'LL GET YOU, DINGOBABIES!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY RANCH DRESSING???

Almost Done  3-29-2003
Insaniquarium Deluxe is just about finished, but we still need some time to beta test and make some minor tweaks. Unfortunately, this process is going to take at least a month. In the meantime, we'll try to keep you updated with screenshots, and perhaps some music from the game. For those of you that have been waiting, thanks for your patience, and thanks for understanding that while we want to release the game as soon as we can, we need to take this extra step to make sure the game is as high-quality as we can make it.

We've started putting the finishing touches on Insaniquarium Deluxe, and boy is it looking awesome. We've got 2 new tanks all wrapped up and ready to go, plus 10 never-seen-before pets. (including an electric eel, a manta ray, and a sea turtle) Wait, did we mention 4 brand new aliens? 4 BRAND NEW ALIENS!! ETA: sometime in March.

More traffic than a Flying Bear could handle  5-1-2002
If you were trying to play this past Sunday and couldn't get the site to load, here's the reason: We got linked by fark.com. Yes, you heard us right. The good news is, tons of people had a chance to play Insaniquarium. The bad news is, our site was royally screwed due to the high amounts of traffic. Sunday night we purchased an upgrade that would double the traffic freshpulp.com can handle. Will that be enough? We hope so. (And at the same time, we don't!!)

Also, a small update was made to the game to better accommodate the first time player.

For all you IE6 users out there  4-15-2002
Well it's not a complete fix, but it's a start. The good news is: if you're an IE6 user who's had some trouble saving pets, rejoice! For you can now hatch and use pets just like everyone else! The bad news is: they still won't save after you close your browser. However, if you're persistent enough, you can even get on the high scores list! Just think of it as playing PS2 games without a memory card... yeah...

Yes, you heard us correctly. A brand new pet can now be found in tank 2! In other news, the load time for Insaniquarium has been decreased. Can you can feel the difference? 9 out of 10 doctors prefer new improved Insaniquarium with shorter load time!

But can you handle the competition?  2-20-2002
The latest installment of Insaniquarium now sports a "Competition Mode" where you and your friends can compete to see who can get the highest scores! The mode is accessible when you have 7 or more pets. Click here to see a list of top fish breeders!

Also in this update, did some balancing of pets:
1. Itchy does slightly less damage now
2. Neko's pearls give out less money when clicked
3. Prego spits out babies at a faster rate
4. Dokster now protects medium-sized guppies

Giant sized update to go along with the site rehaul:
1. Due to popular demand, Stinky the Snail's speed has been upgraded. You may now refer to him as Stinky the Super Snail.
2. A whole new fish tank is now available to play. It is unlocked once you obtain 5 pets. Eventually, there will be 5-6 brand new pets available to collect in the new tank! Look for some of them at the next update.

As you can tell, Flying Bear has gone under some crazy redesign, affording spaces for game info as well as some personal bio's about us! So get your reading goggles on and dig in! As always, Insaniquarium can still be launched from the big 'ol button there on your left. Enjoy.
